What is the Cub Run-a-Thon?Students ask donors to sponsor their run during our Cub-Run-a-Thon event, which helps the PTA fund school grants, events, and large-scale improvement projects. On October 20, at the in-school event, students will run as many laps as possible through a fun but challenging obstacle course. We ask students to register online at the start of school so their donations can be tracked and they can earn fun prizes for themselves, their class, and the entire school.
What Do We Do with the Money? Funds are used to support the STEAM, music, art, PE, and special needs programs; provide technology improvements; reimburse teachers for classroom purchases; hold school-wide events like the Spring Fling Dance, Spelling Bee, and Talent Show; supplement cleaning supplies in the cafeteria; assist in-need students; paint schoolwide murals and was even used to build the Outdoor Classroom. What Is This Year’s Financial Goal? Our Total School Fundraising Goal for 2023 is $30,000. If students can try to raise $60 for this important effort, we will meet our goal! And when students meet their goals, lots of fun happens at Cub Run! What Will I Get if I Participate? With individual and classroom incentives, your student will want to get started early! Want the principal to get turned into an ice cream sundae or be taped to the wall? Register by Friday, September 15, 2023, for a chance to vote! Plus, if the school meets its goal, then all students and their families can come to a special Cub Run-a-Thon Celebration – bounce houses, climbing walls, free food! It will be a fantastic and fun day held on October 28, 2023. How Can My Student Raise Money? Cubbies can ask neighbors, friends, and family to sponsor their run; hold a bake sale; or run a lemonade stand. We are always impressed with Cub Run students’ great ideas!
